Online Terms and Conditions


Bells Shoes reserves the right to alter without prior notice any content found within the website and in any marketing content. Bells Shoes and any other party involved in making this site available to you, are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising out of it being accessed or used. Bells Shoes assumes no responsibility, and shall not be liable for any damage or viruses that may infect your IT equipment.

When ordering from our website/and subscribing to our email marketing, you will be asked to agree to our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions. When do this, you agree to all content in these policies. Please feel free to contact us here if you wish us to remove this consent or alter any of the details we may hold on you.

Price Changes

Occasionally, an error may occur and goods may be either incorrectly priced or described in which case we will not be obliged to supply the goods at the incorrect price or in accordance with the incorrect description. We reserve the right to correct any errors on their discovery. We will (at our discretion) cancel your order and use reasonable endeavours to inform you of this. We will cancel your order and refund the price you have paid.

Please note that your order value is final and no discount can be applied retrospectively if the price of the item purchased is later reduced. It is the nature of retail that prices can be altered to reflect current promotions and we are unable to provide a partial refund on items that have been discounted since your original order was placed.

Price Match Guarantee

Our price match guarantee only applies to full price products being offered for sale by other footwear retailers.  We will not match prices on anything offered on any auction websites/clearance stores. We can only price match items where other retailers have your style, colour and size in stock.

Quantity Restrictions

Bells Shoes reserves the right to cancel any orders containing an increased quantity of items which we suspect are being made for re-sale or wholesale.

Promotional Codes

We are happy to be able to offer promotional discounts from time to time on our website but we reserve the right to withdraw these promotions at any time. More than one offer can not be used on the same order. This includes the use of two promotional codes.

All of our promotions and promotional codes can not be used on the below brands unless stated:

  •  Lotus, Lotus Relife, Lotus Hallmark, Naturalizer, Posh Wellies, Posh Jellies, Norvic and Rombah Wallace

Any pop up messages providing promotional discounts are available on full priced items only and subject to all Terms and Conditions.

Some of our offers will be whole price discounts (e.g. £10 off) valid with the use of a discount code. Customers shopping outside of the EU will receive the whole price discount less 20% VAT. For example, when shopping from Russia and checking out in GBP, a customer redeeming a £10 off discount code will actually receive £8.33 discount.


This website is operated by Bells Independent Footwear Stores trading as Bells Shoes. All content you see here is owned by or licensed by us. It is not for commercial use and unless we specifically agree you cannot copy, distribute, publish or alter the web site content. You may only download content from this website that is required for the sole purpose of assisting you in placing an order. Such downloaded material may not be used for any other content.

We guarantee to comply with procedures and requirements laid down in the UK Data Protection Act 1984. For security reasons we strongly recommend you do not send credit card numbers by standard email but use the secure facility on the website. At Bells Shoes we take security of your details seriously and have taken every precaution to make sure your transaction is secure. All your personal and account details are held securely and when you place your order you will be taken into a secure server. Look for the padlock symbol in the status bar of your internet browser. Please be aware that, if you choose the Pay After Delivery option, you will be required to make your payment via the Klarna website.

Returns terms and conditions

    1. All returned items must be unworn and in their original condition. Please ensure shoes are only tried on indoors on carpeted surfaces.
    2. A returns form must be filled in and included. Your receipt is an adhesive sheet with the Bells Shoes logo header. Please make a copy of your returns form for your records and send the original paper work back to us. Please do not stick any of the labels to the items ordered including the box.
    3. Please use the bag your shoes were delivered in to return your goods. All returned items must be packaged correctly - do not tape/write on the shoe boxes.
    4. If the goods you have received are faulty this must be highlighted to us within 7 days. Please contact us by telephone or email. Any returns we receive back which are deemed faulty by you, the customer, will be reviewed and a refund/exchange is not guaranteed. As with all products, our goods have a lifetime. We will consider this and usage when reviewing returns.
    5. UK returns are free of charge using the pre-paid Royal Mail label included in the parcel.
    6. Any next day UK postage charges will not be refunded on returns made. If returning from outside of the EU costs involved in returning a product are paid for by the customer at the time of posting. Outgoing postage charges will be refunded for orders returned from inside of the EU, in line with 2013's EU Consumer Contracts Regulations.
    7. When returning your order, we must insist you obtain a certificate for 'proof of postage' which is available at the time of posting. This is your proof should any returned items go astray and should be kept in a safe place until you have received your refund.
    8. There is no administration fee for any goods returned to us.
    9. We will process your return the same day where possible. Please allow up to 10 working days for the funds to show in your account.
    10. Multibuy returns policy- returns made for items as part of a multibuy promotion will no longer qualify for the offer and so a partial refund will be made. This promotion isn't able to be transferred onto items not valid in the offer.

Cancellation Policy

      1. Under the 2013 Consumer Contracts Regulations, a customer has the right to cancel an order from the time that the order is placed until 13 days from the date that the goods are received.
      2. If you wish to cancel an order, you can do so by contacting us via email or telephone, or by completing our cancellation form which can be downloaded here and emailing this back to us.
      3. If you wish to cancel an order that has already been received, please ensure that the item(s) is returned to us, unworn and in a re-sellable condition within 13 working days from the date of receipt.

Store Terms and Conditions

Store Loyalty Card Conditions

  • Loyalty cards are only for individual use and the account holder must be present for all transactions.
  • Loyalty points can only be issued and redeemed on personal transactions. The use of a loyalty card on sale of product for business use (with the intent to onward sell) is prohibited.
  • Bells Shoes Limited reserves the right to refuse the issue or redemption of loyalty points to any individuals suspected of violating the above terms. 
  • Loyalty points can only be issued and redeemed on transactions made at the Bells Shoes Store (43 Spring Gardens, Buxton, SK17 6BJ). Loyalty points are not issued for online purchases and cannot be redeemed on online purchases. If you wish to use your loyalty balance to purchase something that is only available online this can be arranged through the Bells Shoes Store.
  • Bells Shoes Limited reserves the right to alter the terms of loyalty point issue at any time and without written warning. 
  • Credit note balance issued to loyalty cards is redeemable for no less than a period of 24 months.
  • Issued store loyalty cards remain the property of Bells Shoes Limited and can be withdrawn or cancelled at any time without written warning.
  • In the event of loyalty card loss there will be no charge for a loyalty card replacement. Reasonable effort will be made by Bells Shoes Limited to recover the balance of the lost card. 
  • None of the above affects your rights as a consumer.

Gift Card Conditions

  • Gift card balance is redeemable for no less than a period of 24 months.
  • Gift card balance can only be issued and redeemed at the Bells Shoes Store (43 Spring Gardens, Buxton, SK17 6BJ). Gift card balance cannot be redeemed on online purchases. If you wish to use your gift card balance to purchase something that is only available online this can be arranged through the Bells Shoes Store.
  • None of the above affects your rights as a consumer.
