Delivery Information

Dispatch Promise

We aim to process and dispatch orders made before 3pm on the same working day. If your order is made after 3pm, it will be dispatched the following working day. Orders made on a weekend will be processed the next working day.

Signatures, Safe places & Tracking

All of our delivery services are fully tracked. You should receive a tracking number when your order is dispatched. If you do not receive a tracking number please contact us here.

United Kingdom - our delivery services do not require a signature in most cases. You will have an opportunity to specify a safe place for the courier to leave your order at checkout - we will pass this information on to the carrier. If no safe place is specified the order will only be delivered to the household.

International - most of our international delivery services require a signature on receipt. A phone number must also be provided. Safe place delivery is generally not available for international orders.

Delivery Services, Costs and Time frames

In order to provide you with the quickest and most reliable delivery, we use a variety of different delivery carriers. The exact carrier used will depend on your location and order contents. Postage costs and delivery time frames vary by location, the below should only be used as an estimate. There are some exclusions to the services we offer for certain items on site. We regret that we are not able to offer UK Next Day Tracked service or UK.

*Our Next Day expedited service is typically out for delivery the next working day after postage. This service isn't a guaranteed next day service. However, 95% of our orders are delivered within one day. Due to carrier restrictions we cannot provide this service to all UK postcodes, if you are in an exempt postcode the Next Day service will not be available at checkout.

**You can choose to collect your order from our Bells Shoes store in Buxton. We are located on the main high street, near Marks and Spencer. This service will be restricted to local postcodes but if you would like to collect your order from the Buxton store, and you live further afield please contact us so that we can make the arrangements. When choosing to collect your order from the Buxton store, you will place the order and make the payment as normal on the Bells Shoes website and select the ‘Collect In Store’ delivery option at the checkout which is a free service. When collecting the order, you will need the order reference number and a form of identification. Orders placed Sunday-Friday, before 3pm will usually be available to collect the following day from 12pm. Orders placed on Saturday and after 3pm on Friday will be available to collect from 12pm on Monday. Orders will be held at the store for 10 days. After this time, they will be returned to our warehouse and the customer will be refunded. More details about our store can be found here.

Customs & Duty

Bells Shoes cannot be held responsible for any customs or duty changes made by a destination country outside of the European Union. All shipments from Bells Shoes will be declared to customs at order value. For more information about any import charges that may be applied to your order, please contact the customs office for the destination country.

Tracking Your Order

Where possible, we will provide a tracking number by email at the time your order is dispatched. If you didn't receive a tracking number please don't worry, your order will be on its way anyway. If you wish to know the tracking number please get in touch and we'll be able to provide this to you.

Returns Instructions

Making Your Return

Please follow the steps below and if you have any queries please contact us here.

  1. Complete the returns form enclosed with your purchase. If you have misplaced your returns form please contact us using one of the options found here.
  2. Package the item(s) together with the returns form in the bag that your order was delivered in. If you have lost or damaged this bag, you can use a similar mailing bag to protect the product(s).
  3. Send the return to us. UK returns can be sent via Royal Mail. UK returns should usually arrive with us within 3-4 working days. International postage times vary.
    • Royal Mail: To return with Royal Mail please visit their webpage found here. After you have finished filling out the form a label will be generated for you. Shortly afterwards Royal Mail will send you an email containing both the label and a list of locations your parcel can be dropped off. Your email will also contain a QR code which can be shown on a mobile device (at a participating post office) to obtain a returns label if printing your label at home proves difficult.
    • International: Send to- Bells Shoes, Unit 15A-C Dew Pond Lane, Tongue Lane Industrial Estate, Buxton, SK17 7LF, UK. If returning from outside of the UK; costs involved are paid for by the customer at the time of posting. Bells Shoes recommend the use of a tracked international postage option.
    • Return to our store: We can accept all refunds at our Bells Shoes store in Buxton, Derbyshire. You will be given a receipt and the return will be processed within 48 hours.
  4. If you've used the Klarna Pay later payment options and would like to return your order, please see more details -
    • You have NOT yet paid for your order via the link Klarna sent you via email Before making your return, please get in touch with Klarna here to request they pause your invoice. When your return is received by us, we will contact Klarna to confirm your invoice can be closed with no funds due. 
    • You HAVE paid for your order via the Klarna link sent via email You can make your return without contacting Bells Shoes or Klarna. When we have received your return, we will confirm this with Klarna and you will be refunded onto the original payment method used to pay Klarna when you made payment against your invoice.
  5. Ensure that you obtain and keep proof of postage in a safe place until your refund is processed.


We will endeavour to process your return within 1 business day of receipt - if a refund is requested this will be issued immediately but may take up to 5 business days to show on your account information. For refunds to PayPal, PayPal may hold your funds for a short period before they can be withdrawn/used again. Please note that we do not offer an exchange service, should you wish to exchange your shoes for another size or style please place a new order and then send the original pair back to us along with your returns form and then we will refund you on receipt of the original pair.


Returns Terms and Conditions

Unworn Returns

We understand that, especially when buying shoes, there is a possibility that you may need to return them. To help you with this, we have a 30 day returns policy for all orders; and for our UK customers, this is offered with free returns postage. All we ask is that the product is unworn, has only been tried on on carpeted surfaces and is in re-sellable condition.

Worn Returns

Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds on non-faulty products that have been worn or used. For hygiene reasons, we are unable to accept underwear or hosiery that has been removed from its original, sealed packaging. Before wearing your shoes outside please make sure that they fit properly, if you find they don't fit at a later stage we will be unable to offer a refund. Any non-faulty products that are returned to us in a worn condition will be returned to the address on the original order (at the cost of Bells Shoes). If you believe your item to be faulty please see the section below "Faulty Returns".

Faulty Returns

We check all orders that we dispatch for quality but we do understand that occasionally the odd order may slip through our stringent checks.

Within 30 Days or Unworn
If you receive a faulty product or find the product to be faulty within the first 30 days of receipt, you should return the item to us using the below returns procedure. Please make sure to note that the product is faulty on the returns paperwork (it's helpful if you tell us what the fault is too!)

After 30 days
Please contact us about the nature of the fault before returning the item to us.
